My story
Hello everyone!
My names Erin and I currently work for the Brentwood Catholic Youth Service (BCYS) supporting young people on retreats at our Youth Centre, Walsingham House at Abbotswick.
In secondary school I was a CAFOD young leader, and had the privilege of taking part in various workshops over a two year period about the food crisis, global poverty, inequality and climate change; where Catholic social teaching and especially human dignity, were threaded through all workshops.
I’ve taken all the values and lessons learnt through with me into my current job, and like to think that I am, in a way, still a CAFOD young leader at heart.
This Lenten period, I’d like to give back and help make a difference, working with hundreds of people around the country to tackle global poverty.
Your donations can change lives. Every £1 raised through the Big Lent Walk will help fight poverty globally in countries like Afghanistan, Colombia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and South Sudan.
Your support would be greatly appreciated or if you are able to donate- anything would help to make a difference.
Many thanks!
Erin
